01 — THE VISION

HOPE, WITH PURPOSE

Development
that reaches
our communities.

A road that reaches a market. A safe journey home. A classroom where children learn. Healthcare closer to the people who need it.

These are the practical changes at the heart of my vision for Eastern Equatoria. Advancing the SPLM’s vision of taking towns to the villages means connecting development to everyday life.

Peace and security must underpin every step. Infrastructure, opportunity and public services must grow together.

Honouring our liberators. Building on their legacy.

We honour our liberators and heroes: Dr. John Garang de Mabior, H.E. Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit, Gen. Kerubino Kuanyin Bol, Gen. William Nyuon Bany, H.E. Gen. Joseph Lagu, Fr. Saturnino Ohure, Joseph Oduho, William Deng Nhial, Aggrey Jaden Ladu, Gordon Muortat Mayen, and many others.

We recognise the generations who served in the liberation struggle, including the SPLM/A, and the countless women and men whose courage, service and sacrifice laid the foundation for our nation.

Our responsibility is to build on their legacy through peace, unity and development—bringing towns to the villages and creating a more prosperous future for all.

04 — THE ANNOUNCEMENT

A PERSONAL COMMITMENT

With humility and a deep sense of responsibility, I announce my intention to seek the governorship of Eastern Equatoria State through the SPLM.

My vision is a peaceful, united and prosperous state where development reaches our communities, advancing the SPLM’s vision of taking towns to the villages.

I will work to construct tarmacked roads, develop feeder roads, connect farmers to markets, and create conditions for responsible investment and jobs. Education, healthcare, youth opportunities and women’s empowerment will be central to this vision.

Peace and security must underpin every step—including creating conditions for displaced families to return home safely, voluntarily and with dignity.

In the coming days, I will share more and listen to your ideas and expectations. I offer my experience, my commitment to service and my willingness to be held accountable.

Together, let us keep hope alive.
